We are the Alaska Pollock Fishery Alliance, a coalition of fishery stakeholders whose mission is to promote and protect responsible, science-based management of the Alaska pollock fishery.

We promote a healthy marine ecosystem by investing in research and science-based approaches to responsible fishing. We are transparent and accountable to fishery stakeholders, including coastal communities along the Pacific Coast, and we proudly support nearly 30,000 vital jobs across the U.S.

This page is a place to share facts, have honest dialogue, and highlight the people and practices behind the Alaska pollock fishery. We’re glad you’re here.

Here’s how we approach engagement and what we ask of everyone who participates:

We’ll respond when:

There is a genuine question or a differing opinion.

There is misinformation we can help correct.

Something of value is added – either thoughtful or constructive.

We won’t engage with:

Comments that include hateful speech, threats, or discriminatory language.

Profanity, spam, or copy-paste campaigns. Copy-paste campaigns are repetitive posts with no intent to engage in a discussion.

Provocative behavior or intention to derail the conversation.

What happens if our guidelines are not followed:

We’ll hide or remove comments that cross the line. If the person/account continues, they’ll be blocked from the page. Additionally, we will keep track of commenting patterns to make sure the space stays safe and productive for everyone.

We’re here to listen, share, and learn through respectful dialogue. Thank you for being part of the conversation.
